Verification Policy
What the green "Verified" checkmark on a listing actually means — and, just as importantly, what it doesn't.
What "Verified" currently checks
Before a listing goes live, our team reviews it for: a genuine, complete business profile (not a placeholder or duplicate), a real contact number and/or email, photos that appear to be genuine event work rather than obviously stolen stock images, and pricing/service descriptions that are internally consistent and plausible.
What it doesn't check
Verification is not a police background check, financial background check, business registration/GST audit, or an independent site visit to confirm the vendor's claims. We don't currently verify professional licenses, insurance, or past client references beyond what's visible in on-platform reviews.
Why some vendors are verified and others aren't
Verification is a manual review step, not something you can buy directly. Featured-tier listings are fast-tracked for review as part of that plan, which is why Featured vendors are more consistently verified — but plan tier alone never grants the badge; a listing still has to pass the same review either way.
If you're a client
Treat "Verified" as a baseline profile check, not a guarantee of quality or outcome — read reviews, ask questions directly in chat, and use your own judgement, the same way you would with any vendor you found off-platform.
If you're a vendor
Complete profiles with real photos and a filled-in bio get reviewed fastest. If your listing hasn't been reviewed after a few days, contact hello@urbaneventsclub.in.
